Application Details

For institutions who are interested to engage in pawnbroking business.

Before applying:
Please note that an application fee of $800/- is payable upfront. The application will only be processed subject to the payment of the application fee. The application fee is non-refundable and no appeals for refund will be entertained.
For new licence application, there will also be licence fee payment ($3,000/- per year) and security deposit of $ 100,000/- (in the form of Banker's Guarantee/Insurance Guarantee) to be made at the later stage. The Banker's Guarantee/Insurance Guarantee has to be made payable to "Accountant-General, Singapore" and submitted to the Registry of Pawnbrokers directly (applicant will be further advised on the submission).

Fee

Application Fee: $800/- (Stage 1 payment - payable upfront and non-refundable)

Licence Fee: $3,000/- per year; $6,000/- for 2 years; and $9,000/- for 3 years (Stage 2 payment -fee payable depends on the selected option)

Security Deposit: $100,000/- in the form of Banker’s Guarantee/Insurance Guarantee. The Banker’s Guarantee/Insurance Guarantee, which should be made payable to “Accountant-General, Singapore”, is to be furnished separately to the Registry of Pawnbrokers (“ROP”) whilst the application is at Stage 2 - Payment. Documents Needed

• Letter of Authorisation for 3rd Party filing
  Upload of NRICs of all personnels - office bearers, manager, directors and shareholders; and upload a copy of tenancy agreement for the proposed pawnshop premises.
  File format: doc, docx, jpg, pdf, gif
  Maximum upload per application: 7 MB
