Application Details

A veterinary centre licence from NPARKS/AVS is required to operate and maintain premises as a veterinary clinic or hospital.

The licensee is responsible for:

1. Adhering to veterinary centre licensing conditions
2. Keeping informed of and observing all relevant statutory requirements
3. Ensuring that employed veterinary surgeons:
   • >Are licensed by NPARKS/AVS
   • >Comply with the licensing conditions
   • >Follow any directives issued by the Director-General

All veterinary surgeons working in veterinary centres must comply with the Code of Ethics for Veterinarians.

The veterinary centre is subject to inspection by NPARKS/AVS.

1. When can I arrange for inspection?
   If the application and relevant documents are in order, and the veterinary centre is operationally ready, an inspection visit will be arranged.
2. Supporting documents required for submission?

   The following documents are required for the submission.

   1. Layout plan
   2. Letter of Approval to use the Premises (URA, HDB or JTC)
   3. Fire Safety and Shelter Dept (if not HDB premise)
   4. LTA (if more than 150 square meters)
   5. ACRA Bizfile
   6. Letter of Authorization from the Veterinary Manager

3. Who could be the Emergency Contact Person?
   The emergency contact person should be familiar with the clinic operations, preferably the Veterinary Manager.
